“Eraserhead” is a nightmarish lullaby of industrial decay and paternal dread. The story follows Henry Spencer, a quiet man consumed by anxiety as he navigates a bleak industrial world and the emotional horrors of unexpected fatherhood within an isolating relationship. The haunting sound design, cold and unforgiving setting, and uniquely grotesque imagery makes this, David Lynch’s first feature-length film, unmistakably iconic. This is one of my favorite films. 🩶
