(Yarn Only) The Percolating Slipover

from $148.00

My amazing friend Eleanor and I are back at it again this year! This time, we’re serving up all the heartwarming feels with this fun slipover, commemorating a cute moment in Twin Peaks when Pete Martell is about to serve Agent Cooper and Sheriff Truman some coffee, he says,

“Fellas, don’t drink that coffee! You’d never guess. There was a fish…in the percolator!”

Eleanor curated this pattern with this eccentrically endearing moment in mind but also with our brand new Josie Noir DK base, a blend of 20% yak, 20% silk, and 60% superwash merino wool. This base is elegant, super shiny, and unbelievably soft. The drape is loose, but not heavy, perfect for a slipover.

You can choose to have the main color of your slipover be Douglas Firs, Purple Sea, or Black Lodge. The accompanying minis in this kit will include one Diner Dress at Dusk, one Damn Fine Coffee, and two undyed (it’s a really neat light-gray color naturally, just like a percolator!), all on our Josie Noir DK base.

We hope you love our little collab and want to make one of these commemorative pieces for yourself. 🐟

*note: the fish pictured in these sample photos is one of the first versions of the colorway “Diner Dress at Dusk.” The actual colorway we decided to go with is a bit more teal and saturated. See the product page here for more of an idea

*also please note: The number of skeins in each kit is calculated conservatively to allow enough yarn for about +15% variance, so you are less likely to run out of yarn and more likely to have some leftover for another small project

The pattern for this kit was designed by the lovely and talented Eleanor of Eli-Kelly Knitwear
