Angels Wouldn't Help You (plant bases) πͺ½πΈ
An emotional and ethereal wash of pale periwinkle, soft lilac, and a faint blush, that feels both celestial and liminal. πͺ½ππͺ»πΈ
This delicately pale palette is inspired by the otherworldly atmosphere surrounding Laura Palmer in the final scene of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, as flashes of light and splashes of color wash over her face.
The name comes from Lauraβs bleak and vulnerable conversation with Donna earlier in the film:
Donna: βDo you think that if you were falling in space, that you would slow down after a while, or go faster and faster?β
Laura: βFaster. And faster. And for a long time you wouldnβt feel anything. And then youβd burst into fire. Forever. And the angels wouldnβt help you, because theyβve all gone away.β
The gentle, luminous colors illustrate the vulnerable moment when Lauraβs feeling of hopeless abandonment shifts to hysterical relief as her spirit feels a moment of mercy, realizing that even in the darkest places, thereβs hope a small light might still arrive. β¨
