A simple, yet unsettling red that’s nostalgic in its vibrance, but has a subtle vibe of having something to hide

“𝙊𝙝! 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨!”

Oz Perkins’ horror/thriller “Longlegs” was one of the most anticipated films of 2024 (I remember seeing promo for it in January of this year, and it didn’t come out until July) but it was also, in my opinion, 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘮𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳.
Like a modern-day “Silence of the Lambs,” “Longlegs” takes place in the 1990s, and follows rookie FBI agent Lee Harker (Maika Monroe) as she investigates a series of ritualistic murders tied to a figure known as “Longlegs,” (played very creepily by Nicholas Cage) uncovering cryptic messages and a personal connection to the killer.
This colorway draws inspiration from the pervasive use of the color red in “Longlegs,” which consistently conveys a sense of danger, violence, and an impending malevolent influence. • In this colorway, Colin and I (he helps with this now too!) concentrated on creating a strikingly simple yet unsettling red that evokes the image of a clown nose, illuminated by the muted, eerie glow of an overcast sky. eeeek

This collection is a preorder! 🧶

Turnaround time is estimated to be 2-6 weeks. We’re aiming to get all orders that are placed the first weekend of the preorder shipped out by mid December.
